چکیده
Lumpy skin disease (LSD) could cause huge economic losses to the farmers. It is a major obstacle international trade. virus (LSDV) belongs genus Capripoxvirus. The LSD causes substantial decrease in milk yield may be from 10% 85% (no conjunction). In Karachi (Pakistan), and meat sales have been hampered by 60% 70% because of LSD. All breeds ages cattle are involved, however, cows peak lactation young ones more vulnerable. epidemics mostly occur hot humid environment at that time majority insects active those acts as vector/insect species. Wildlife promote spread clinical picture includes nasal discharge, inappetence, fever, lachrymation along with salivation inflamed lymph nodes, body weight loss, occasionally death. described slightly elevated, firm, demarcated nodules (2-7cm diameter) typically all over body. Morbidity varies 0.75% 100% whereas mortality low (0 7%). Tissues digestive, respiratory, reproductive tract show lesions. Secondary complications serious mastitis, pneumonia, keratitis, lameness, dysentery, myiasis. Under microscope, eosinophilic intracytoplasmic inclusion bodies keratinocytes considered pathognomonic. doesn’t belong zoonotic diseases. Milk infected animal reliable safe for human consumption. urgent opt strategies control prevention disease. Restricted movement animals factor transmission non-endemic area. Review: lumpy skin disease: an emerging threat to Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Lumpy skin disease (LSD) is an economically devastating emerging viral disease of cattle. Lumpy skin disease is currently endemic in most African countries and has recently spread out of Africa into the Middle East region. In this article, we review the putative mechanisms of spread of LSD into the Middle East and the risks of further spread into Turkey, Europe and Asia. We also review the late...

Lumpy skin disease is a poxviral disease with significant morbidity in cattle. Although the mortality rate is generally low, economic losses result from loss of condition, decreased milk production, abortions, infertility and damaged hides. The causative virus seems to be spread mainly by insects, and outbreaks can be widespread and difficult to control. Lumpy skin disease was confined to Afric...

The disease is of economic importance because it causes 6 reduced production, particularly in dairy herds. It also causes damage to the hide. LSD is caused by 7 strains...
